Yes it is. So you should feel free to make variations and adjustments based on your own area needs and preferences.

Why can't you follow someone elses advice on composting word for word?
You can if you choose to. Just keep in mind that you're are getting information from composting sites, or other resources based on their own location, preference, etc. Try to use the information learned as a guideline not a rule.

We encourage you to combine ideas, try new techniques, what ever suits your own needs.

It can be as much or as little work as you want to make it.
The end result will be the same. Just the time it takes will vary.
